REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 6, 2005--Electronic Arts (Nasdaq:ERTS) today announced the release of Medal of Honor European Assault(TM), the latest video game from EA's award-winning Medal of Honor(TM) franchise, for the PlayStation(R)2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox(R) video game system from Microsoft, and the Nintendo GameCube(TM).
Developed under the EA brand by Electronic Arts Los Angeles, Medal of Honor European Assault immerses players in an authentic WWII experience developed in partnership with acclaimed Hollywood writer/director John Milius (Apocalypse Now, Red Dawn, Conan the Barbarian) who penned the emotional storyline, and the Medal of Honor military consultant, war veteran Capt. Dale Dye, U.S. Marine Corps. who worked with the development team to ensure accurate historical representation and makes a cameo appearance in the Battle of the Bulge campaign.
Medal of Honor European Assault features authentic WWII vehicles and weapons, and innovative game play features including an open battlefield that welcomes exploration as you complete multiple objectives, combat squad control, and an adrenaline feature which allows players to accomplish extraordinary feats under pressure.
