ALL PRO QUARTERBACK DONOVAN MCNABB SELECTED FOR COVER OF EA’s MADDEN NFL 06

REDWOOD CITY, Calif. – May 10, 2005 – Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: ERTS) announced today that All-Pro Philadelphia Eagles and NFC Champion quarterback Donovan McNabb will appear on the cover of Madden NFL 06, the newest iteration of the EA SPORTS™ best-selling football franchise with the official videogame license of the NFL and its players. Reflecting the focus on the passing game for the first time in ten years with the all-new QB Vision Control and QB Precision Placement, McNabb is the perfect representative for the cover of the most popular football videogame franchise. Last year Madden NFL 2005 sold more than six million copies.

“This is one of the top honors in the NFL – you have truly made it when you are on the cover of Madden NFL Football,” said McNabb. “With the attention and changes they have made to the passing and the focus on the quarterback this year, it was worth the wait to be the cover guy and part of the EA SPORTS team.”

McNabb, who was named to his fifth consecutive Pro Bowl in his seven years in the NFL, is one of the most dangerous quarterbacks in the NFL. He is a threat as both a passer and a scrambler. As the second highest rated passer in the NFC (104.7) he became the first player in NFL history to finish a season with more than 30 touchdown passes (31) and fewer than 10 interceptions (8). He appeared in his first Super Bowl this past season and passed for 357 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions.

In its 16th year and with more than 43 million copies sold, Madden NFL Football continues to stand out as the most popular football videogame franchise of all time with a combination of innovative new features and the most authentic football gameplay. Developed in Orlando, FL by EA Tiburon Madden NFL 06 will be available in August on the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system, the Xbox® video game system from Microsoft, Nintendo GameCube™, Nintendo® DS, PC and Game Boy® Advance. Being from Philly and a hardcore Eagles fan all I can say is "THIS SUCKS SO BAD!!!!!!" Why not Peyton, Big Ben, Tom Brady or any other QB in the NFL. We were so close to the land of milk and honey now we wont even make the playoffs. "McNabb is the perfect representative for the cover..." Sure if you're a cowboys fan. In the words of C3-PO "we're doomed". And May was shaping up to be such a great month too.

You probably deserve it for signing TO. Stupidest decision ever. I hope Andy Reid tells him to stay home and just fine him for the whole season.

"Stupidest decision ever."

NO T.O., No SuperBowl Go. He has a big mouth and doesn't know when to act like a pro sometimes but he did put on one of the best shows of "love of the game" in the SuperBowl 39. 6weeks removed from a broken leg and he caught 9 ball for 122yards if Brett Farve did it(comeback, not catch passes), it would have been heroic, T.O. does it, it's considered selfish. Not fair. It's his own fault but still not fair.

I think you misunderstood me. Story: In SuperBowl week I was definitely on the TO bandwagon, he was being heroic, IMO.

However, the Eagles should have understood that with his signing, they would be receiving the whole package, negative publicity and all. And on going to the SuperBowl, how many playoff games did TO play? They were a great team, TO gave them an attitude--that certainly helped, no doubt--but they were a great team without him.

It's all too late now. 2004Eagles 13-3 NFChamps> 2005Eagles 9-7 Miss the playoffs. John Madden must pay the price for his lack of vision. Curse his cover art! Curse his cover art to hell i say!
