This week’s show is a little light on What We’ve Been Playing because we’re recording on a different night, one that was a few days earlier than normal. Luckily (despite less) time we still managed to play a few games and we kick it off with Casey experience of Fairune Collection, a throwback to the classic NES days. It is a little obtuse, but after a little while it started to click and be something he enjoyed far more than anticipated. Speaking of anticipation, ever since PAX FOX n FORESTS has been on the radio and both the boys got a chance to play it. It oozes classic SNES feels and is easily one of the most beautiful pixel art based games to cross our paths in a long time, but does the gameplay stand up on its own?

Luckily the nature of how we roll out the eShop Roundup, we got a full uninterrupted roundup with a feast of games. The news front on the other hand was not so bountiful, until about 30 seconds before recording when Perry said, “Hey Casey you see Resident Evil 7 Cloud Edition is coming to Switch next week?” in which I retorted “… good one bruh.” Well to both our surprise and probably everyone else out there, yeah that’s a thing and uhh… yeah.

Rounding out the show we dip into some listener mail! We love hearing from you fine folks and are always happy to field a few questions. This week we have a pair that dives into some twin-stick shooter/rogue lite debate as well as Perry’s new found love for the FMV style games.
