All in all, not a bad night for Nintendo!

The British Academy of Film & Television Arts was established in 1946, and is the UK's leading organisation for honouring the very best in film, television, and interactive media.

With this in mind, on Wednesday February 25th the Academy held its first ever BAFTA Games Awards. Focusing purely on the games industry, it turned out to be a good night for both Nintendo and a handful of other related GameCube/GBA publishers.

350 guests attended the ceremony hosted by UK comedian Bill Bailey, and here are a few of the Nintendo-related winners presented on the night:

Best GameCube Game: Metroid Prime

Best GameBoy Advance Game: Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

Best Strategy Game: Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising

Best Animation or Intro: Soul Calibur II

Best Adventure Game: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Best Music: Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
