Following the recent price cut, GameCube sales across Europe have increased by 10 times.

EUROPEAN GAMERS RUSH TO BUY GAMECUBE!

Following the first week of its new price of around 99 euros, the NINTENDO GAMECUBE has proved a massive hit with gamers across Europe. Sales of the console have soared, with 10 times more consoles being sold in the first week of the new price.

Comments David Gosen, Managing Director of Nintendo of Europe: “With the very best games now combined with a truly unbeatable console price, GameCube is flying off the shelves across Europe. Add this to a software line up that's increasing to over 200 games by Christmas, including the launch of the long awaited Mario Kart: Double Dash!! and the NINTENDO GAMECUBE will prove itself as the console of choice.”

The NINTENDO GAMECUBE software lineup offers a wide range of top games to suit all tastes. Fans of frantic karting action should check out the critically acclaimed Mario Kart: Double Dash!! If you prefer to test your fighting skills then Soulcalibur II is the game for you, whilst snowboarding fanatics can’t afford to miss 1080 Avalanche. For Star Wars fans look no further than Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike from Lucas Arts. FIFA Football 2004 from EA will keep all football fans on their toes whilst wrestling fans can really get to grips with WWE Wrestlemania XIX from THQ. If you’re a self confessed skateboarding junkie, Tony Hawk's Underground from Activision will give you the ultimate adrenalin packed experience.

An unbeatable line up of top games, coupled with the new console price of around 99 euros - there has never been a better time to get into GameCube!

This follows the success in the UK after the new price of around £79 was announced on Friday 10th October. Sales were up 400% in the first two days alone.

seeing as how gamecube was being outsold by the psone for a few weeks, this just brings gc back to par

And past every other system (except maybe the GBA) as well.

Hm, nintendo-europe.com has zero info on this...

But, hey! At least NoE's prediction was right.

Well actually, it's true. It's hard to find a GC in the stores over here (Ghent, Belgium). But off course, some stores took it of the shelves a few weeks ago....
