A new game to be added to the list, and what's this? A new demo disc?!

Beginning May 4 and continuing through July, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker will be added to the Nintendo GameCube bundle promotion. Consumers who purchase a Nintendo GameCube (manufacturer's suggested retail price $149.95) can choose one of the following games for free - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Metroid Prime, Star Fox Adventures, or Mario Party 4.

Also on May 25, Nintendo will be introducing a demo disc as part of the bundle promotion.

It's unknown at this time what games will be featured on the disc, or if you have to purchase the bundle to receive the disc.

We'll have more on this when it breaks.

I really hope the demo disc is available through other means. It would totally suck if after asking for demo discs since launch for only the late adopters to get it. I'll gladly buy an issue of Nintendo Power for (but not subscribe unless demo discs become a regular occurance).

Jesus Nintendo's offering some great games with their bundle. i mean, Metroid Prime and Wind Waker are some of the best games ever concieved, and you can still choose from Mario Party 4, Resident Evil 0, and Starfox Adventures, all great games, too. Not saying the games bundled with the Xbox are bad (I've heard mixed reviews of Sega GT and absolutely loved JSRF), but you have to admit that you're getting more bang for the buck with this GCN bundle.

Resident Evil 0 is not on that list, is it being included?

I hope this means that Nintendo is warming up to the idea of demo discs.

I wonder if selecting The Wind Waker means you also receive the Ocarina of Time bonus disc (like how Nintendo of Europe are selling both as a set). Probably not, though.

In fact, wouldn't it make more sense to select the Wind Waker GCN bundle if you wanted The Wind Waker? ^_^; I guess that's not necessarily available as easily as a store sticking Wind Waker in with your GCN purchase for free, though.

I also noticed that Resident Evil 0 was not included in the bundle anymore. I'm willing to bet this is a result of Capcom coming out and declaring that their relationship with Nintendo is on shaky ground. Very interesting...

Is this an Australian deal. Does anyone know if the Zelda/Platinum Cube deal will be available in Australia?
