Game to Feature Most Boxers Ever in a Hand-Held Game

GLEN COVE, N.Y.--(ENTERTAINMENT WIRE)--Feb. 1, 2002--Delivering a mighty, 1-2 combination of arcade action and boxing fun, Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ.SC: AKLM), today announced that it will release Punch King, a new boxing game for the Game Boy® Advance in the spring.

Punch King is being developed by Full Fat, the heralded developer of the Company's premier Game Boy® Advance title, Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX(TM) 2, which has been extremely well received by consumers and the media.

Punch King for the Game Boy®Advance will include:

  • 18 unique fighters, the most ever in a hand-held boxing game;

  • Individual fighter styles and attributes;

  • Color commentary and catch phrases for each fighter;

  • Create-A-Boxer Mode, allowing players to create their own title contender;

    Career Mode, including winning fight purses and purchasing new combos and special moves to K.O. opponents;

  • Home arenas for each fighter, including individual theme music;

  • Simultaneous Head-to-Head multi-player link action.
