One of our readers, SwiminDawg, wrote in to let us know he’d stumbled across a game announcement for Cube after a bout of toy shopping. Check it out:

Wazzup PGC? Hey, I just bought a Lego Bionicle at Toys R Us today. Inside the tube were Legos and a mini-CD. After installing the DC on my computer, it led me to a section on future Bionicle games. It then had a movie of the game (from PC version), but it said that the game was scheduled for release on NINTENDO GAMECUBE in Spring 2002. I really don't know if this is news or not, but I was just happy to see GAMECUBE being mentioned somewhere. By the way, Bionicles are really cool toys, pick one up sometime.

It is actually news to us. We’ve reported quite a bit on the Lego Bionicle game that Saffire is working on for GBA, Lego Bionicle Quest for the Toa though this is probably a different project based on the same license. Saffire may be handling this game too, though its Bionicle GBA game is only one of 3 Lego games in development for GBA by three different developers, so it’s hard to say anything for sure. We’ll have more as it develops.

Update: PGC has learned that the Bioncle GameCube game is indeed being worked on at Saffire.
