Nintendo boasts 24 million GBAs for the first year.

The Nintendo Project has cobbled together a story dealing with Nintendo’s planned production of Game Boy Advance. NCL plans to manufacture over 24 million units in its first year of production, with a goal of 2 million units in June alone. Nintendo will ship 1 million units during the initial 10 days of launch. Due to the overwhelming popularity of Game Boy and Game Boy Color, it sounds like Nintendo is making sure there are enough GBAs to go around.

For the consoles Japanese release, Nintendo is planning to release 10 games at launch. It is unknown if these include titles from 3rd-party developers or which / how many games that will appear alongside the GBA when it launches in the US next July. Whatever the case, it sounds like no one will have trouble getting a GBA next year!

Update: Not too long ago, Mike Sklens posted a report with a similiar headline saying that GBA production was set for 10 million units. Well, I've changed the headline... And it looks like Nintendo may already be stepping up production plans. Awesome.
