Gamecube Pre-Order?

Preorder your GC! I did it!

Pre-order 3 titles and a GC for $499.99. I wasn't going to post anything about this because I thought it was stupid. But after a couple of e-mails and death threats, as well as a few asking if this was a good deal...I decided it was relevant. I just felt it was rather odd since there hasn't been any official prices revealed. But here's the juice.

Why risk missing out on the next generation of Nintendo gaming? Why overpay in online auctions? Why 'camp out' in a dirty store parking lot overnight? Avoid all the hassle by pre-ordering now!

This special bundle includes the Gamecube console and 3 of the hottest games available at launch (we'll ask for your game selection next year). Pricing is estimated and will be adjusted if necessary after offical pricing announcements. No money down!

Enter Nintendo's Gamecube.

This system was made by Nintendo specifically for one main purpose, quality eye catching gaming entertainment! Gamecube carries the latest technology and will continue Nintendo's legacy with popular games from the past like Zelda, Super Mario Bros, Metroid and many many more!

Limit 1 per customer.

Also, I am a big fan of the hunt. I don't feel all that secure about this pre-hype. Granted, it gives me tingles that there is an online distributor already promoting GC pre-sales. But, gimme a break here. 500 loved ones for this thing? Let's do the math together here folks...

Console = $200 (respective)

Game #1 = $50

Game #2 = $50

Game #3 = $50

Total = $350 (still respective)

Either Mr. Mailman is getting some serious love from Gamestop...or someone has a crack habit. Nintendo wants to hit that $200 price point. But $300+ ??? Put down that fattie boom batty. You've got to be kidding me. Even if the games launch at $60 - $70 a piece (I remember dropping $80 for Shadows - ewwww) that's still way too much. Not that your investment wouldn't be worth it. Are these import prices?

My advice. You have a year to wait to plan your nabbing of Gamecube dreams. Louie advises...Plan out what kid your going to beat up in line that's in front of you so you can get your Gamecube first. I think that would be more interesting.

And another thing. Camping is fun and nerdy and totally accepted at PlanetN2000.
