The Vehicular Soccer Sensation is coming to the Nintendo Switch this Holiday 2017 with cross-network play.

Rocket League, from Psyonix, is coming to Switch. The reveal was made almost immediately upon Nintendo's E3 Spotlight presentation, and provided a few additional details later in the show.

The game, which has been a fixture on other platforms, will finally reach Nintendo's latest console and also now be available on a portable system. The game can best be described as a multiplayer-centric experience where players drive rocket-powered cars to knock into a giant ball in a giant enclosed soccer-esque field, timing their boosts and angles of attack to use physics to knock the ball into their opponent's goals.

The Switch version will have all the features and modes released for the game, include cross-network play with other platforms, contain exclusive items like Mario and Luigi hats for the cars, and also include exclusive battle cars that will be unveiled later this year.

Talkback

While I won't be buying this on the Swtich, I'll happily take more people to play against on PC.

Psyonix already confirmed cross play between Switch, xbox, and PC.

This seems like a good pickup for Switch, I may check it out.

Sounds like they're putting alot of effort into the Switch port. I hope it's popular on the system.

BTW, Carmine, just wanted to say I love your avatar. No objection! :)

With this and Skyrim, we have the two of the biggest games people wanted on a portable.
