A leak on the darker parts of the web forces the Pokémon Company to jump the gun.

The newest Pokemon Sun and Moon trailer has released early following the content leaking ahead of time.

A new Pokémon and a new Alola form have been announced: the new Pokémon is Lorelull, a mushroom-styled Pokémon with Grass/Fairy typing and Illuminate or Effect Spore abilites. The new Alola form is Alola Raichu, who is an Electric/Psychic type with the ability Surge Surfer which doubles his speed while Electric Terrain - as set by one of the island legends - is active.

Some of the Pokemon revealed in CoroCoro Magazine this week received localized names: Yowashi, the Water type fish, will be known as Wishiwashi, and Namakobushi's English name will be Pyukumuku. Pyukumuku is a Water type whose ability Innards Out causes damage to an opponent when it faints similar to Aftermath. Alola Meowth was revealed as keeping regular Meowth's abilities, while the previously announced Alola Marowak will swap Rock Head for Cursed Body.

Team Skull was confirmed with the leader being known as Guzma and the female admin "big sister" of the team Plumeria.

Raichu has been eternally (and understandably) upstaged for years.  This new form also has max cuddles.

Color. Me. Hyped.

Maybe it's because the first time I ever saw Raichu was likely in the anime where Surge and his Raichu were both jerks, but I never liked Raichu much. Alola Raichu looks awesome though. I still don't know if I have it in me to let Pikachu evolve, so hopefully there are some Raichu out in the wild in this region for me to catch. It definitely has a spot on my team right now.

The best part of this latest round of news for me is the information around Team Skull. Based on what they've said about Team Skull so far, it sounds like they might do away with the dramatic and needlessly philosophical plot in these games and just stick to leveraging the inherent charm of the tropical setting and Pokemon for the story. We still don't know all that much and things might change as more information is revealed, but I'd love for them to go this route with Sun and Moon.

I personally would love a deep and good story.
