Mojang's COO says it just hasn't happened yet.
According to the chief operating officer of Mojang, it is still possible for creation phenomenon Minecraft to come to Nintendo platforms despite being owned by Microsoft.
COO Vu Bui spoke with MCV UK at the London Minecon event last weekend, and rejected the notion that Microsoft's multi-billion dollar acquisition would prevent Minecraft from continuing to add platforms: "If I had my way, we’d be on everything," When asked about Nintendo consoles, Bui said "I’ve never heard a reason why we haven’t ended up on Wii U or 3DS. It just hasn’t happened yet."
Minecraft's console versions have sold over 30 million copies on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PSVita to date.
