Along with showcasing the final version of Super Smash Bros. on 3DS, Nintendo of America will also cover some upcoming Wii U and 3DS games.

The Nintendo Treehouse will host an eight-hour live stream on Twitch this Friday, September 12 showcasing several Wii U and 3DS games.

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is the only game that has been confirmed, and the Treehouse will be highlighting the final version of that game, which happens to hit Japan that same day.

Other upcoming Wii U and 3DS games will be highlighted as well. While no games have been confirmed, it's very likely that games such as Hyrule Warriors, due out on September 26, and Fantasy Life, due out on October 24, will be shown off during the event.

I won't be watching, but if there is a recap then I'll check and see if anything new was shown.

i'm not gonna lie; I am REALLY digging this thing Nintendo is doing with the treehouse. the folks working there are surprisingly good doing what one would normally hire PR guys to do, while at the same time, they have some level of intimacy with these games by working with the devs during their localization process, which I imagine requires some level of debugging if the Mother 3 Fan translation is any indication. (at some level, the folks at Starmen.net had to reassemble parts of that game's code because of some of the things that went crazy when certain bits of code tried to read something in romanized characters instead of Hiragana)

I'll be trying to tune in for this and catching other streams and Youtube videos when they become available.

Ninteno tweeted the full game lineup.

Bayonetta 2

I hope we see Mario Maker and Yoshi's Wooly World also!

With all the streaming of the Japanese release and videos popping up all over, is Treehouse showing Smash 3DS that interesting now? While mildly interested in it before, now with all the videos and news I've seen today, I'm rather indifferent about it. It's most likely just going to be going over old news we already know.
