The draw of Murfy's GamePad antics proves to be too much to resist.

Rayman Legends has sold more copies on Wii U than on any other platform since going on sale on August 30 in the UK, according to the latest Chart-Track figures.

The Wii U version reportedly accounted for about 45% of the retail sales of the limbless legend's latest platformer, which was formerly pegged as a Wii U exclusive until it was delayed earlier this year to enable multi-platform support.

By comparison, the Xbox 360 version made up 30% of the game's sales, whilst the PS3 edition took 24% and the PC version a meagre 1%. These statistics do not factor in the title's digital sales on any of the systems.

Overall, the opening week sales of Legends in the UK were around a 20% increase on the first-week sales of the previous entry in the series, Rayman Origins, which was released in late 2011.

Rayman Legends will launch across North America tomorrow, September 3.

So can we download this game tonight at midnight? or will it come up on the eShop at some random time tomorrow?
I'd like to hit download tonight before I go to bed so that I can play a few levels before I go to work tomorrow.

Actual (rather pityful) numbers don't matter. What matters is the fact that no matter how anemic, sparse and abused Wii U audience is, it still paid some attention to Ubisoft's delayed release. While on other platforms with huge install bases it was just a white noise.

To be fair, on the other platforms it's actually a pretty crowded time right now. This is what I'm looking at picking up in just the next 2 weeks:

- Rayman Legends (Vita)
- Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (PSN)
- Disney Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (PSN)
- Kickbeat (PSN)
- Killzone Mercenary (Vita)
- Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX (PS3)
- Puppeteer (PS3)

Yeah, I'm getting Rayman, but it's an expensive 2 weeks for me.  I'm just lucky I don't give a **** about GTA 5 or Wonderful 101 anymore, or it would be even more ridiculous.

It's looking like Rayman Legends will be the bargain bin sleeper hit that Rayman Origins was.  Considering that Wii U store demos are still playing the launch day Rayman demo and considering the Wii U's lack of games right now, I would hope that it would be selling better on Wii U.  From the looks of it, though, selling "better" will be small consolation given the overall sales numbers.

With the Wii U version selling the best I think they might have sold more back in February before they made enemies out of so many people with the postponement. I'm getting it anyway, but I really wanted it back then and I think a lot of us Wii U owners were dying for a new game they could have had a very high attach rate.
