The fourth title in Sega's "Reprint Project" is revealed.

3D Jūōki, or 3D Altered Beast, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS next week on May 29 for 600 yen. Similar to previous titles released in the Sega 3D Fukkoku (Reprint) Project, Altered Beast offers an array of options including customizable controls, Japanese and English versions, the ability to save anywhere, and also a “classic” view mode that resembles a tube television with slight curvature. Simultaneous multiplayer through local play can also be utilized if gamers have two copies of the game. 3D Altered Beast is based on the Mega Drive (Genesis) version of the game.

There is currently no word about a release of this title outside of Japan.

Is this coming to the West? Come on ! They talked about partnership with SEGA and releasing virtual console games in last Nintendo Direct, release these too.

That being said Altered Beast is a shit game 3D or 2D, but some of the other stuff maybe pretty cool and nice to play again

Space Harrier was already confirmed to be in some demos.

Sonic 1 "3d classics" remake will also follow, i'm sure.

Doing a 3D Classic of the Genesis Altered Beast is Sega's version of Nintendo doing one of Urban Champion. What the hell were both of them thinking?

I expect no less than three hours of Altered Beast discussion in next Radio Free Nintendo.

In my ongoing re-listening to RFN (follow along at Twitter hashtag #RFNrewind), I recently experienced a discussion of the Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection that turned into an Altered Beast hate-fest for a little while with little prompting, so while I doubt it'll be three hours, I wouldn't be surprised if it came up.

I would be that (aside from Space Harrier, which is more or less confirmed for the West), Super Hang-on will follow. Then Sonic, and then THIS. Man, I bought Altered Beast on the Wii VC when it first came out and freakin' hated it. If you guys want to hear about this on a podcast, bets are that NintenDaan will pick this up!
