Nintendo and Atlus team up to mash together their strategy RPG franchises.

A new title combining the Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei franchises, developed in collaboration between Intelligent Systems and Atlus, was revealed for Wii U during the latest Nintendo Direct broadcast.

A teaser trailer showed an impressive cast of characters from both series, but no gameplay details or release dates are known at this time.

Crossovers are smart because i have zero interest in shin megami, but I love fire emblem, so this might get me to start playing shin megami in the future if I like it.

I can't even imagine what this is going to look like, as you could not combine two more different franchises (one that's constantly striving to be fresh and new in the world of JRPGs, and one that's constantly trying to change as little as possible).  Still, it should be interesting to see.

Throwing two things you love together = goodness :).  Wonder what genre the game is even going be?  TBS, JRPG, or some mix between the two?  Must buy.

I think this is most likely going to be an SRPG (like Tactics Ogre, Devil Survivor (which is a SMT spin-off) or FF Tactics – or Fire Emblem for that matter). With the typical SMT demon breeding of course.

I really wonder what this game is gonna be like. Obviously it makes me think of Project X Zone, but that was on the 3DS. So I cna't picture what this will be like on the Wii U. Maybe it will be an eshop only title?
