Finally, North America gets the Game Boy Goemon game.

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon, the 1997 Game Boy title, is coming to the 3DS Virtual Console in North America tomorrow, a Nintendo representative told us today.

The game is out in both Japan and Europe, coming out in March and August respectively.

Mystical Ninja, the only portable Goemon game released in North America, came out shortly after the Nintendo 64 game of the same name, which has still yet to see a Virtual Console release. Legend of the Mystical Ninja, the Super Nintendo release, is the only other game to see a Virtual Console release in the west.

Word to the wise: go play the Virtual Console release of the SNES game to get your Goemon fix and leave this game alone. The series is fun, this game isn't...
:P: :

(To be a bit more specific, controls and level design are weak at best and the "boss" encounters that force you to mash buttons or be kicked to the title screen are terrible. I was hoping for a fun romp, but Mystical Ninja on Game Boy didn't cut it. You are much better off getting one of the lesser known but enjoyable gems like Avenging Spirit or Mole Mania.)
