The game's Art direction is handled by an artist named Styleos, game design and balance is by ex-SNK designer Umezono and the game engine was created by Shiza. The game was originally released as a Japan exclusive in 2011.

Yatagarasu features eight playable characters, both single and 2-player modes, training and replay modes, four-button attack system with a parry system, and classic 2D hand drawn sprites.

Hmmm... interesting. I'll be keeping an eye out for this one!

For those not in the know, it's more of a spiritual successor to SF3:Third Strike. It has hilarious unlockable commentators, including KSK, Kokujin, and motherfucking Tokido. I'm pretty sure I want to play it on anything but a portable system.

That's exactly what I thought, too, Ty. Looks like a decently serious fighter... BUT on a handheld. Ugh.

With that said, I still can't wait to give it a go.
