The famous vocaloid will soon make her Nintendo debut.

Hatsune Miku Project Mirai is headed to 3DS, scheduled for March 2012 in Japan.

The Vocaloid title will be a rhythm game, much like previous Sega-published games on PSP, PS3, and arcades. The title features the franchise's characteristic synth voice singing combined with a chibi Nendoroid art style, with features in 2D and 3D. Players will be able to put on augmented reality concerts.

Hatsune Miku is extremely popular in Japan, but thus far, no Hatsune Miku title has made it to Western shores. However, a sold-out concert featuring the virtual diva was held at Anime Expo 2011 this year.

Miku!
Looks like the game will mostly have models based on the Nendoroid figures where the characters are superdeformed. Though, I don't think it would be to hard to have the regular proportioned characters as well.

the PSP Project Diva games are amazing, good thing 3DS is region locked yes!!!!!!!!!

I wonder if there's any way to convince Sega to not region lock it if they decide not to localize it. I really hope they do localize it though.

I've put countless hours into both Project Diva games. Too bad the 3DS is region locked, or I'd grab this day one.
