The game is still in development, and still has the Duke Nukem brand.

Duke Nukem: Critical Mass, also known as Extraction Point: Alien Shootout, is still set for a Nintendo DS release. The game was original going to be known as Duke Nukem Trilogy, a series of three original new games for release on Nintendo DS and Sony PSP.

At one point, the game was rumored to have been retooled as a non-Duke Nukem shooter titled Extraction Point: Alien Shootout, but Apogee posted via Twitter earlier this week that the game was indeed titled Duke Nukem: Critical Mass, and was headed to Europe on April 8, 2011. In another tweet, Apogee confirmed that the license for the Duke Nukem franchise had never been revoked.

Joystiq reports that the game is set for a North American release in May.

So what the hell is it? FPS? Third person? Overhead? Platformer? A CCG?

There a James Jones XL Unit joke in here somewhere...

The original trailer is still a masterpiece.

I quite frequently complain that movie trailers spoil the movies they are promoting, but I am impressed how effectively they wasted 3.44 minutes from 1/3 of a million people telling them less than nothing.

Five Fatmans out of five.

Apogee should have spent that time making duke nukem forever....

Those Apogee guys are imitators, the real Apogee renamed into 3D Realms. And yeah...

The Game Stop here has preorder boxes for this game, I was already wondering if that was maybe an orphaned database entry.

i asked about this game at my gamestop today, he said they dont even have a listing for it.

so like other games i want, they probably put it in the DS game hell
zone of TBD. or indeterminate release date.
