Based off of the show's spin-off series, players will try out for a position on the team in Ghost Hunters Academy.

THQ and Syfy are making Ghost Hunters Academy, a DS game based off the television series, according to Joystiq.

While there isn't much information right now, players will jump into the role of a new recruit who has to try out for the paranormal investigation team and follow them around to different spooky locations.

The iPhone version of the game will use the camera for an "augmented reality feature," and hopefully the DS game will make use of the DSi's cameras for a similar function.

"Hello? Are you a factory worker that was killed here in an accident? Did you die in this building?"
"Oh my god dude what the fuck was that?!!"
"Will you talk into my electronic voice recorder?"

Oh, wait, that's Ghost Adventures. Oh well, they both suck.

I'm still angry they changed the network name to Syfy (pronounced Seefy). It's like changing your name to Pleather!

(pronounced Seefy).

I am not sure if you are joking or not. That was just a joke made by people after the name change was announced. The channel is still pronounced Sci Fi, only the spelling was changed (it's like how people named Geoff try and claim their name should be pronounced Jeff).

Supposedly the name was changed for license issues. It's a lot harder to protect a copyrighted name like Sci Fi, since it's so generic. Thus, SyFy.

That's exactly what they said when they announced it. "Sci fi" is a generic term, it'd be like trying to call your channel name "Sports" or "Comedy".

So, instead, they're calling the channel "Spoortz" or "Komedee".  Good plan.

Somehow Syfy always sounded like it's short for sycophancy.
