The third DS remake of the classic series is coming out in Japan on January 28.
Square Enix has announced a January 28 Japanese release date for Dragon Quest VI.
The third in the Zenithia trilogy started in Dragon Quest IV and continued in V, Dragon Quest VI originally came out only in Japan in 1995.
Once again, the developers of the two previous remakes of Dragon Quest IV and V, ArtePiazza, are handling the development duties. However, this time around, the original developer is Heartbeat instead of Chunsoft.
There is currently a teaser web site up that will expand on November 12.
Dragon Quest VI is expected to be localized for North America and Europe, though Square Enix hasn't said anything about the game's release in the two regions since 2008.
