The newest Wii entry in the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series gets more web exposure.

The website for Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers went live at the end of March, and several new movies have been added since then. The first movie available was the trailer included with the Japanese version of FFCC: Echoes of Time. Aside from showing some great-looking action-based battle sequences, there are also some awesome environments (such as a train station, countryside, and farmland) and drop-dead gorgeous cutscenes that appear to use the game's engine to impressive effect.

Other movies revealed since then give us bite-sized chunks of what the game has to offer. Prominently featured is the way emotions are indicated in the game, with icons above character's heads showing love, surprise, anger, etc. ("Bite the Hand That Feeds You" and "Love Train"). There is also a goofy sense of humor prevalent throughout ("Public Spectacle" and "In the Nick of Time") that is reminiscent of the whimsical characters and situations encountered in Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series. The environments are also huge ("Guilty Pleasure"), encouraging the player to explore them at will.

Movies are still being added on a daily basis, inviting fans to keep visiting for the latest reveals. Crystal Bearers is looking good and is scheduled to be released later this year.

I think these videos are really just showing how interactive the game's world really is, even in places like towns and cities. It seems that Square is being very ambitious with this release and it could prove to be the best game in the CC series.

On a side note, the video "Don't touch that dial" contains a brief scene of the original CC game on GC.
