Draw your own Pac-Man and watch him come to life.

In addition to Pac-n-Roll, Namco also had a game titled Pac-Pix on display for the Nintendo DS at E3 2004. Pac-Pix is a very simple game. The game starts with ghosts running around the screen. Players must use the touch screen to draw their own Pac-Man, which is more difficult than it seems. After creating Pac-Man, the drawing comes to life and starts chomping away in a straight line. If he runs into a ghost, he’ll eat it and you’ll score points. Walls can also be drawn to make Pac-Man change directions.

Despite its simple premise, it is a fairly difficult game. Drawings must be fairly accurate in order to come to life. Otherwise they’ll just disappear. If you do manage to get a Pac-Man working he’ll run off screen pretty quickly. Paying attention to everything is vital to getting a high score, as is being able to draw fast and accurately. Pac-Pix is a simple game, and honestly feels more like a tech demo. It would be nice to see this game and Namco’s other Pac-Man DS title, Pac-n-Roll, bundled together on the same game.
