Super Street Fighter II Turbo: Revival

by Andres Rojas - March 8, 2002, 12:12 am EST

One of the greatest fighting games of all time is ported to the GBA.

Ever since this game's release, I've had my eye on it. How couldn't I? It is a port of one of the best fighting games of all time. Alas, for many reasons (mainly monetary ones), I've had to pass the game up every time. Then one day, my local EB dropped the price to a mere $19.99.

There went the ol' piggy bank.

Now, I'm left wondering why I waited so long. SSF2 Turbo Revival is bar none the best fighter available on the GBA at the moment, and I wouldn't be surprised if it stayed that way for a long time to come.

With graphics ported seemingly seamlessly from the arcade to the GBA, great sound effects and voice samples, good controls, and some of the best gameplay in any fighter ever made, you can't go wrong. Of course, Capcom just had to up the ante and upgrade the game with great artwork, a training mode, and many great survival and time attack modes.

Don't wait for the review. If you're hungry for a fighting game, buy it now.
