Capcom is remastering another one of their PlayStation 2 titles for Switch, which is so old as to tout analog controls as a new feature.

Onimusha Warlords, the original game in Capcom's early-2000's samurai series, will be remade for Switch. The remaster will launch on January 15, 2019 for US$19.99.

The remaster will include a new soundtrack and Japanese audio options. Currently, it is slated to be an eShop only release on Switch.

The game was first released on the PS2 in North America in March of 2001, meaning it predates the GameCube. A strategy spinoff, Onimusha Tactics, released for the GBA in November of 2003 and would later be sold on the Wii U's Virtual Console in 2015.
