Some big names are adopting a service that might help it find the next triple-A million seller.

14 MAJOR GAME PUBLISHERS SUPPORT LIVEPITCH AT THE AUSTIN GAME CONFERENCE


Respected Industry Matchmaking Initiative to Put Unsigned Development Projects in Front of the World's Leading Publishers at the Austin Game Conference


AUSTIN, Texas, July 17, 2003 ­ The Austin Game Initiative today announced that it has teamed up with Criterion Software to host "LivePitch" sessions at the Austin Game Conference, to be held Sept. 11-12, 2003, at the Austin Convention Center. LivePitch is based upon Criterion Software's respected "GameOn!" industry matchmaking initiative that provides opportunities for developers to meet with and pitch PC and console game demos to the world's leading publishers. Publishers involved include Acclaim, Eidos Interactive, Konami, Midway, Microsoft, Namco, NCSoft, NEC, Sammy Studios, Strategy First, THQ, Ubi Soft, ValuSoft, and Wanadoo.


Game Developers can apply to participate in LivePitch at no cost, by visiting the LivePitch Web site at http://www.LivePitch.com at Developers interested in participating in LivePitch! should complete the application, providing information about their demo, game developing experience and past publishers that have been pitched the idea. Meetings will take place at the Austin Game Conference September 11-12.
