Nintendo has launched an endorsement partnership with 16 year old gymnast Gabrielle Douglas, 2012 Olympic gold medal winner. Gabby "The Flying Squirrel" Douglas will be participating in Nintendo's new "Play As You Are" campaign designed to show women and girls that you don't have to be a gamer to enjoy the 3DS.

As part of her first major product endorsement, Gabby will be making a public appearance in the Nintendo World Store from 3pm to 5pm at the Rockefeller Plaza in New York City on September 25. For the first fans who turn up to meet her, she will be signing autographs.

Gabrielle is a Mario fan and will also be featured in upcoming commercials for New Super Mario Bros. 2, where she will compete for a different kind of gold.
