Going to grab this at launch. Can't wait to play it.

I will probably grab some points cards as well.

Wait, what? It's out now?
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

/facepalm

It comes out Monday.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

If it was out today I would of been playing it right now instead of talking to you guys.

Sorry but I like to get into the game without worry about other things when it comes to Zelda. I beat Twilight Princess over a weekend. Hardly slept.

PARISH REVIEW GET  A-

Solid review, and is pretty on par with how I'm feeling about the game a little less than 5 hours in.

I suppose that means that your stance on the train sequences in the final product is considerably kinder than your thoughts from the E3 demo. Smashing.

You remembered?!?!

Yes, yes they are.

Not to spoil my review too much, (which I'll be writing tomorrow morning/afternoon and holding a member of staff at gunpoint to edit it so it can go up tomorrow night) but every negative thought and feeling I had about this game at E3 is rendered completely irrelevant by the final product. Overall, I think the E3 demo was pretty bad.

While I've still got more game to plow through, I think my main thought about this game is "Phantom Hourglass 2.0," as most of my problems with that game are fixed in some way.

I read Parish's review, and I am very pleased to hear that the train book seems somewhat similar to Majora's Mask's Character Book. Honestly, the game gave me an excuse to care about the NPCs, which is something Twilight Princess failed in.

Can't wait to get this as a Christmas gift.

Man, why oh why has this game flown under my radar the past six months? As a result, it's completely lacking from my budgeted alloted gaming dollars for the rest of 2009! I'll have to get creative to afford it!

A glooming peace this morning with it brings;
The sun, for sorrow, will not show his head:
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

This game is amazing.  The train is a lot more fun than I expected since I was never a train guy, even as a little kid, but I am still loving it.

Princess Zelda is the most adorable thing I have ever seen.  Her reaction to finding out a demon is going to possess her body is priceless.  Her reactions to everything are great.  I would kill someone if I could get a gif image of Zelda getting in Links face for my new nwr picture.

I finally got this today at the only place in town that sells games.  I tried at midnight Monday morning and of course...nothing.  I go Monday afternoon (Dec 7th being the actual release date) and the guy tells me that new games only come out on tuesdays and thursdays...why do store employees who work in a specific section know nothing?  So I went around noon today and got the first copy (still packaged in the shipment box).

I played it for awhile today and it's awesome.  Saying that this is Phantom Hourglass 2.0 would be like calling Majora's Mask "Ocarina of Time 2.0".  This game is not just an improved Phantom Hourglass.

To me it is.

I mean, it's not like that is all the game is, but to me it was a lot of the issues I had with PH being washed away, like it was an improved version of it. And I mean that in the gameplay, controls, story, etc.

i think i figured it out link shows zelda his little master sword. zelda freaks out, slaps him and he goes "Well EXCUUUUuuuuze me, princess! If you weren't such a cock tease i wouldn't of stooped this low!

LOL But I think it went more like this: Zelda appalled yells out "So I'm not cute!" Link replies "Naw it's not like that at all, baby. You're cute, real cute. However, I just think you'd look even better with my sword in your mouth."

I was thinking about buying this, but should I get PH 1.0 first?

That is what sequels do and it should be expected.  Sonic 2, Halo 2, Gears of War 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Megaman 2, etc. Calling it 2.0 implies that this game is somehow not its own game and is simply an updated version instead of the true sequel as well as giving you a cheap shot at the previous game by saying it wasn't "complete."

Anyway, back to the game.
The tower in ST is very different from PH.  Each level is essentially a full dungeon complete with a boss key and miniboss.  I'm in the dark floor and I love drawing my own map as I go.  It also does seem harder than PH so far.

Halbred, bite your tongue.  Blowing into the mic is an amazing way to play the flute.
