"Customize the BOMBERMAN" in Hudson's latest entry in the series on DS. http://www.nintendoworldreport.com/previewArt.cfm?artid=17356 At Tokyo Game Show, Hudson announced a follow-up to 2005’s Bomberman DS. The latest in the storied series brings new additions while maintaining the status quo. Much like the previous game, Bomberman 2 will feature an extensive multiplayer mode that allows up to eight players to battle on one game card and up to four players on the Nintendo WiFi Connection.
Unlike prior incarnation of the game, Bomberman 2 will focus strongly on customization. With the exception of the standard battle mode, every other aspect of the game, from the 70-stage mission mode, to the robust versus mode, will be customizable. In total, players can create over 190,000 different Bombermen scenarios each with varying special abilities and skills.
Bomberman 2 is currently set for a February 2009 release in Japan.
