ALTTP and the GB zeldas on one disc would be all I'd settle for.  Seriously!

I'd love that too, Omen, but I mean what are the odds of that happening? That'd be like if SK were to suddenly go third party. :/

You know, if it was Microsoft we're talking about, the chance of an included Zelda or Malon hugging pillow would actually be greater than zero...

How bout this? Depending on weather or not the next Zelda has any direct link to Wind Waker, why don't they release a 1-hour Cutscene/ movie using the original Wind Waker engine to wrap up any and all lose ends(Kinda like FFVII Advent Children).  How did Link and Tetra make out on their new quest? What troubles did they encounter and things of this nature. Nothing overly fancy just a nice and neat way to conclude the story. Although I belive the Mishinip Cap maybe the same Link from Wind Waker( ala LTTP and LA) and if thats the case it may be harder to acomplish...but you know just a thought.

I think if they even thought about those loose ends they'd sure as hell explain them in the new Zelda.

Dude: So, how'd you come up with the idea for the original Zelda game?
Shiggy: Funny story, I was out in my garden one day, when I took the time to notice all the little bugs and bits of bird crap that had dried in the sun. I thought to myself, this green and brown blob could be a HERO that would save an uptown girl. So I got on my Amiga 500 and played some Bump 'N' Jump. Then had a shower and went out for dinner with the Super Mario Club.
Dude:... Uh, sir? Zelda?
Shiggy: A-what? No she is mine, this interview is over.

Judging by Capcom's blatant disregard for storyline consistency in the Oracle games I imagine that Minish Cap will exist by itself like Capcom's other Zelda titles.  I regard EAD's Zelda titles as the "official" story and Capcom's titles as original stories that use the Zelda characters.  Otherwise you get into all sorts of weird stuff like why Malon and Talon live in Holodrum and have never met Link before.

I like the video idea though.  It may not be necessary if the new Cube Zelda game continues with that story but it's a really cool idea.

How about they finish the missing dungeons in Wind Waker and include them in an "expansion pack" that you get when you preorder?  Essentially the disc would just contain a couple of dungeons that exist entirely on their own.  You select the dungeons from a menu screen and your character automatically comes equiped with the required items.

I thought it was quite obvious that the Oracle games are placed by themselves, due to the fact that Link meets Zelda for the first time in them(and Link had all-new artwork for the games)...However, Minish Cap's art looks identical to Wind Waker's, and Zelda looks just as she does in Wind Waker, so it would make sense for the game to be a sequel to it...

The expansion pack thing sounds cool, though what will probably happen is that the ideas for the missing dungeons will be blended into the new game... :\

I heard they cut the missing dungeons because they sucked and as such it would make no sense to put them into another game.

That's such a load of crap. Who would even know if they sucked or not? Only Miyamoto and everyone else who worked on WW would even know what those two dungeons were like, and I seriously doubt Miyamoto would have said they sucked.

In fact, Miyamoto has said that they simply didn't have time to finish them, and he even said he would like to use them in the next Zelda title.

There were three and it's obvious where they all were. Fire island was supposed to be a fire dungeon, same for ice island and it's a safe bet that Jabun just giving you the pearl wasn't the original intention. Hmm yeah what am I saying? Oh yeah, 3 missing dungeons, not 2.

It would be nice to see what these were going to be. It would also be nice to see some of the original ideas for OOT (using elemental medalions to charge any item) implemented.

Why not have two fire dungeons?  OoT kind of did with the Fire Temple and Dodongo's Cave.
