This hilarious flash:

Clicky.

Well, it inspired me to make one of my own flash videos.  I've never done that before Are there any pointers y'all have?  I don't expect to remake "Potter Puppets," as that seems quite advanced, but I really want to do this.

Oh, and you kinda have to be an HP fan to enjoy the flash.

The flash tutorials (at least the ones they had a few versions ago) were actually somewhat helpful. To get started off, create a layer for an object, paste in object at the frame you want it to appear in, and add a keyframe for where you want to end/change how it's animating. Right click the bar and select 'tween object' or whatever they call it these, and then right click the keyframe for some animation options. That should get you started off with the most basic part. I'd like to page ThePerm to this thread, also.

Hmm...you didn't mention what program I'm supposed to do this with, S-U-P-E-R.  I'm assuming Macromedia's Flash program, unless there's a better one?

I don't think anything but Flash itself is capable of working with that format?

There are much better flash cartoons than Potter Puppet Pals. *points to avatar* And Xiao Xiao, but that site is always down.

Xiao Xiao is simply amazing.  My friend murk does Flash, and I'm trying it out now, too.  I'm working on me first project now. . . not really focusing on quality of animation, but I'm getting the hang of things, and the concept is good.

Dave Kelly is really good, too. . . the creator of purple pussy (remember, .net!) and other such stuff.  This Neil guy I've seen before. . . pretty funny, but this is less humorous than most of his stuff.  I've seen many more, but their names don't come to mind.

Yes, XiaoXiao is quite amazing.  And to Berny, I'm just looking at flash to get some comedy out, not to make it amazing and get it to win five hundred trillion web awards.

Homestar is probably the best flash animating I've ever seen, quality-wise.  Nah, it's definitely the best.  Humor wise, it's near if not at the top.  Genius.  Genius.

And not Bill's kind of special friend, either.  The normal kind.

weebls-stuff has some good flash toons. As does ebaumsworld. You can google those, cause I'm still not sure about linking rules on PGC. ^_^ I'll read the rules when I'm done with this. Anyways, kirby killer, have you finished your flash toon? I love new flash stuff. A friend of mine recently completed one of his own. Unfortunately, Mozilla for some reason doesn't feel like showing it to me. =P

Everything in that is true, except the Zelda part...The only thing that is the same in any of the Zelda games is the fact that you get the Master Sword, which you don't even get in every game ANYWAY... =\

Yeah, the Zelda one wasn't funny, whether it's true or not.  The only ones I laughed at were MGS and the Final Fantasy one.

Decent animation, but I've seen better video game parodies.
