Cant we just get a PAl section (just for sake of Europe before we start  complaining )??

El Pollo Diablos
Nintendo is going to treat us good:F-Zero and Star Fox Armada, new Pikmin, 1080, Kirby, Mario Golf, Mario Kart, Mario Tennis and 2 or 3 new franchises ( maybe mature).
Planning on buying an Xbox! Now all I nead is a good gamertag for Live!

Just start a Euro section on it's own.
Even though it would be a good idea to start a PAL section since that's the format we all use, we are still much apart. At least Nintendo of Europe does a better job at marketing Gamecube than NIntendo of Australia. And thing is, the things we talk about are pretty much Aussie-related, like release dates, beach babes and stuff.

I, what time ye be meeting in front of ye ol' Imax cinema's? 12?

And congrats with the P's man. I failed three times when I attempted 2 years ago. It totally destroyed all confidence I had, and I've never driven since. Ah well, I'm a poor bum anyway, no way I could afford to get a car on the road =)

Haha, yeah, I'll make a massive sign with "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO PGC"

Then the cops will think I'm going to start an anti-war protest and kick me in the groin. Huzzah!

... Hey, I just had an idea. If one of us brings a camera, we could send the photos into PGC and the whole world can see the event =)

Alas, my poor child, Metroid Prime ads will be starting this weekend, have you guys noticed on the ad for the AFL that it says something like "All your afl action, PRIME time", it sounds wierd how they emphasise the prime *shrugs shoulders* Anyways, we better see some Metroid Prime commercials soon *hopes*

OMG, i saw it in teh shops today and i was like OMFG, the box looks tiny and the console just looks so damn sexy. And i also walked passed someone playing Metroid Prime, there was like heaps of people watching teh great visuals and i felt all fuzzy inside. ONLY ONE MORE WEEK PEOPLE!!

Oh yeah, and i missed Pokemon this morning I saw the last 2 minutes, i like the new theme song, very catchy, but can someone tell me what happened in the episode? I noticed Brock and Misty were in it at the end, and i also noticed Corsola, but what happened? And has Ash beaten the Johto Leage yet?

Ar, I too missed Pokemon. I was having a rather cool dream in its place, and it's not often that I remember my dreams, so it was indeed very cool (Too bad I can't uh, post details in this G rated forum ^_^)

And Mario, your thought pattens are indeed impressive, I never would have made the Prime connection! It makes sense! Since Nintendo chose to advertise Mario Sunshine during a big AFL event, bugger that I'm not much of a sporting type guy.

Weeeee, tomorrow!
*Thinks*

I'll be wearing white cargo pants and uh, some blue-ish type shirt with numbers. Exciting stuff, what with the numbers and all.
Ah well, back to cleaning my mouse ball..

*Drops on floor where it collects dog hair and bits of corn chip, explodes in a ball of flames*

Well, sh*t.

With my newfound freedom, I went to Burwood.
First place I went to was, of course, EB.
And my god, Zelda look so beautiful. The animation is so much smoother when you see it for real.
And, like Mario, I headed for Kmart.
I had goosebumps, I was shivering.
I was gonna play Zelda at last.
I went in, and saw that massive N64 controller (they have to change that - I'll take it if they don't mind).
I turned into the isle at last.

And gasped.

The Gamecube was turned off.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

No worries.
I headed down to Target.
Nooooooooooo!
They still had the old demo with SFA and SMS.

No worries.
I headed over to Grace Bros.
Nooooooooooo!
The had the old demo disc too!

No worries.
I headed to EB.
Nooooooooooo!
The don't have ademo pod!

So I just stood there dumbfounded and glittery eyed up at the TV, watching Link sail away in his magnificent boat.

Oh well.
Tomorrow hails a new day, and new opportunities. And the Pokemon Playoff.

And with Pokemon, it's just good to see something familiar on TV. I was getting sick of DBZ with their never-ending battles. What was that big fat pink thing? Maginpoo? It turns people into cookies then eats them. Eerrcgh!
Anyway, Ash and Misty sign up for the Pokemon Whirl-something competition. A league where you use only water pokemon. And after the usual Brock-meets-Joy thing and Team-Rocket-try-to-steal-the-pokemon thing, they leave the town and set off to compete in this league. Don't worry, I think there is still the normal Jhoto League. This is part of it, and extension of it, or just something they wanna do before going back to the Jhoto league.

Do I know too much than I should?
Yes.
Sorry.
It has been a long day, and I just wanted something other than Spongebob Squarepants in my mind.

I am writing this now with less than 12 hours till the event kicks off.
I'm gonna be tired.
I hope I can make it through 8 hours of goddy-goody Pokemon exposure.
Is that how long the event really is gonna be?

I think, that by this time tomorrow, we will be sleeping with Nintendo and pokemon thoughts in our heads.

Oh, and Daylight savings tomorrow! An extra hour of sleep! Hooray!

EDIT: Oh, I'll hold a 'PGC Meet here' Board up. 12 sounds a bit early, but i guess if that gives us time to introduce ourselves, and that's when the event starts, then yeah ok.

And remember. Tommorrow, no shame. We are followers of the almighty Miyamoto, who created the Mario world in 7 days (maybe longer). We will beat up any XBox/PS2 lovers who happen to be 'passing-by-to-see-what-is-going-on'. And take photos of their corpses. I will have two cameras.  A normal one, which has around 7 photos left (my sis wants to develop the film quickly), and a digital camera.

OH MY GOD!
It was like, the best thing evah!
And they weren't lying when they said they were giving away thousands of dolllars worth of free stuff every hour (more like every half hour).
But Mario (DAMN YOU, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!) won one of five copies of Metroid Prime. The first in Australia! And you know what he had to do?

I'm not telling. Read my report.

Mario! Infernal Monkey! Don't tell them anything about the event until i post the report! Not even about all the things we won!

I don't want to spoil the good stuff!

I feel sorry for all you people in other states. Haha.

So wait until my report, and then we'll talk!

Oh, and I have pictures too!

OMG. Im taking a short break from heaven (Metroid Prime) and letting my arms have a rest as i write up some impressions. These impressions are all over the place because im getting sleepy. I'll try to avoid spoilers, but be warned, some of what im about to write will contain spoilers... or maybe not i dunno... *shrugs shoulders*

The first say.... 30 minutes or so, are a battle between you and the controls, they are very hard to get used to, but luckily the first area of the game is sort of like a training level, and after the first area you should have mastered the controls easily, once you get used to the controls they are very easy to use and they are very innovative. Anyways, now for the graphics. They are UNBELEIVABLE! The special effects that happen inside the visor are extraordinary, when you go in water and come back out again, the visor is dripping with water for a few seconds and it looks incredible. When you walk past some steam, your visor fogs up and it looks amazing. The sheer detail in this game is simply unparralled, some of the rooms are so huge and have so many things to scan and so much detail it makes my head spin. The gameplay is where this game really shines though, the lock on system when fighting enemies is spot on, and fighting enemies couldnt be more fun. I wont ruin anything, but i will say this. The boss battles are AMAZING, and damn hard too, seriously, ive only versed about 5 or 6 bosses and i can already say Metroid Prime has the best bosses i have EVER fought in a videogame (yep, sorry OOT). Ever since i got home last night ive been playing Metroid Prime, taking very short breaks here and there, ive clocked about 9 hours on the timer and i didnt even notice. The game really is THAT good, in fact so far it exceeds Ocarina of Time (yep, sorry again OOT) and it's the best game i have ever played. Truly breathtaking, now im off to sleep. Now hurry up and get that story up Termin8Anakin...
