you apparently didn't read our review.. or Penny Arcade's talk on the game.  Who the heck are you listening to if you don't compare it to us and PA?

Yeah, good luck to you on finding any of these games - 1080 isn't even out here yet, STILL!
As for the other two, they were ultra-rare releases (like five copies, no joke) so you'd be really lucky to find one.

Lost Kingdoms eh? *screws up face in strange way while worming out of conversation*

I also see that EBgames.com has TTS and HM:AWL for US$40 ---> points to a reduced price here, hopefully!

$10 says MGS TTS is $110 at launch, HM is $70 at dvd crave. nothing that releases at a budget price in the US is budget out here, $40 for VJ $100 for us etc.

I was actually talking about Lost Kingdoms and how reviews made it out to be a completley hopeless game when it actually aint that bad.

Good luck with Skies and Ikaruga!  You will need it!

Your best chance of getting either of them is finding them second-hand, ebay, or import from Europe (if they are still selling it).  Haven't got Ikaruga, but if you like RPGs, I highly recommend Skies from the bottom of my heart!

Excuse me, I am going to go and finish Skies.

I hated Lost Kingdoms because of the card system, but I want PSO III because of the card system. Conflicting taste buds.
Atari still have "Metal Gear Solid 2: Twin Snakes" for "Game      Cube" listed for $109.95. Which means it'll be $140 when it comes out.

Well I think I know what to get from the US.

I am telling my mum to get

Skies of Arcadia ( although I highly doubt I will find it )
Simpsons Hit and Run ( I am a MAJOR simpsons fan )
Splinter Cell ( MGS TS has me hyped for stealth action )
Beyond Good and Evil ( Seems quite good )

What do you guys think ? ...and what are the prices for each of them ? ...and how rare are they ?

Simpsons Hit&Run is around in Australia - I don't think importing a multi-format game makes sense.
Same with Splinter Cell. Just DVDCrave them to save some money.
And yea, BG&E is only fitty dolla! Get it now!

Gotta agree with Zoidy here, ak. Apart from Skies, you can find those games in any shop here fairly cheap, and like Shifty said, hit DVD Crave to get them even cheaper. How about getting your Mum to pick up some games we'll never see here?

Like Midway Arcade Treasures (Upon further investigation, this game didn't get a PAL release on Xbox or GameCube anywhere, not just here..) Or maybe Pac-Man World 2 with the bonus Pac-Man VS disc? Cubivore? Bomberman Jetters? (Atari distributed Bomberman Generation here, so there's no chance Jetters will get a decent release.. Plus it's MEGA budget priced in the US). Stuff. =o

You all make good points but I dont have the money to buy them on my own ...expically ( I have no idea on how to spell that ) since MGS and Hm are out soon.

I am not allowed to order over the net. And there really isnt any point of me asking my mum to get Ikaruga because I know she wont find it. Same with Skies ...but I am just holding on to the fact that she might.

akdaman, ikaruga is not hard to find here. I've been it at just about every video game store I've gone into. Skies I've seen at several EB stores.

If she's coming to a major city there are probably EB and Gamestop stores on just about every corner. They're popping up around here like Starbucks.  Make a GOOD list and trust she'll find most of it.  You can even check store locations on the internet so you know just where to send her.

Remember she's coming to a privileged NTSC territory where games actually exist. Don't waste a chance to load up on really good games with stuff like Simpsons Hit and Run.

And, by the way, I'm a huge Simpsons fan too along with many around here. It's just that Hit and Run would in no way make anyones short list of games if they were given your opportunity.

I am a big SImpsons fan as well.  I rented Hit andRun one time and got bored of it after 2 days.  Yes the different comments were funny, but the continuous back and forth driving (I know thats what you supposed to do) got to me.  The other city cars are always in the same place, and memorizing the streets isn't hard.  It gets easy pretty quick.

I gotta agree with all the others.  Get games that are rare or don't exist down there.  Games like VJ.  BG&E you may actually have a hard time finding here.  Since it dropped to $20US, EB Games has also stopped seliing the game in all of the US.

I am definitly finding MGS much more entertaining and fun to play than I do Splinter Cell.  I have only played SC for maybe 30 minutes, where as I am playing MGS just as often as I did WW when that came out.
Pietriots, we roll out to get the lol out.

Well Im afraid that I really cant change my list too much because its my younger brothers as well.

I will take out BGE or SC and put down Ikaruga. You see its not like my mum will really try to find it, she knows jacks**t about games and would have no idea where to shop. I'm worried she might get me SC for the PS2 or solmething.

Anyway shes going down to Miami ...how easy/hard are they to find there ?

P.S - What games am I missing ? ...I am getting MGS TS here so dont worry but any games you might reccomend ?

Heeeellllloooo? *knocks on akdaman's head*  Are you serious? If you read the last several posts people were trying to give you suggestions.   And if you read through this thread you'll see several games that are hard to find or aren't coming to Australia.

n00b Guide to Ordering Online & Importing

Quote

Also where do I pick it up ? Can I have it delivered to me ?

That depends on the shipping type and total size/weight of the shippment.  If delievered by FedEx or UPS, they will drop it at your door, and you'll may have to sign.  Airmail, either at your door or mail (well to me).

If order from an Aussie site, and delivered by Australia Post (most will offer Express & Courier delivery too), they may leave it in the mail or if can't fit, at the front door.  But they are not suppose to leave it at front door unless someone is home (they are suppose to ring the doorbell).  So, if they aren't lazy and no one is home, you may have to pick it up from your local Post Office, and be sure to bring ID to prove that you live at that address.

Quote

Now I live in Melbourne and want to know what is the cheapest site for me to import off ?

DVDBoxOffice is a good Canadian import site that offers free shipping worldwide.
Or from AUS, like everyone said, DVDCrave

Quote

And how fast is the delivary ?

That depends.  From DVDBoxOffice via airmail, 2 weeks is the norm.  I ordered Princess Mononoke from them, and received it in less than 2 weeks!
DVDCrave, a few day, unless they are lazy.  I ordered Animal Crossing from them, and it took awhile.  Lazy bastards.  I will order Prince of Persia & MGS: TTS from them.  They better be quicker this time.

Quote

Im thinking about importing off www.dvdcrave.com but Im not sure how the system works...can anyone help me out ?

(1) Go to the website.
(2) Click on Information at the top
(3) Under Ordering / Payment, read the info on Ordering, Pre Ordering & Payment Options
You can also pay via fax if you want.

I hope it helps!

Since I'm not sure where else to post this, and opening a new thread seems pointless, I have a cool little tidbit of news.

FF:CC advertising is around! CRIKEYNESS! Big W has oversized novelty boxes and a FF:CC "Who Are You?" poster too. I can't seem to find that ad online so it makes me wanna steal it, but its out of reach. ;______;

Oh yeah, I'm not dead. Just thought I'd let you know

Hey, are there any tv ads for FF:CC that you've seen?

Hye akdaman, I just pre-ordered MGS from DVDcrave.
They don't explain their pre-order system very well at all, so I had to email them for info.
What happens is you just simply go thru the normal ordering process (you have to register with them first - email and name is all), and they send it to you as soon as they get the first shipment it. Simple, though I thought they had a whole system just for pre-ordering, and that was where I got confused i guess

One more thing.
You can pay by credit card or by Direct Deposit.
Credit Card is self-explanatory and you do the usual tidbits.
But with Direct Deposit (only for Aussies), you have to make sure you have the ability to do online banking.
DVD Crave doesn't ask for you bank details and charge you from that - they give you THEIR details and you transfer the money to them, as if you were transferring money from your account into a friend's account.

Hope that helps.
