Yeah, the N64 games were pretty freakin' fun.  Diddy Kong Racing is still one of my most favourite racing games, if not the most.  Perfect Dark has yet to be matched in style and sublety, perhaps only Metroid Prime could put up a contest.  The thing I like the most though, is that I can go and play any of my N64 games, and still have tons of fun for weeks.  In fact, I think I'll go play a little HM64 now.

I think that the thing that makes the N64 amazing for me, is all of those games by Rare. They blew every other N64 developer away. The launch of a game by Rare was an event. Opening the box and starting the game was something to be savored. Those opening cutscenes made you go "wow" every time.

I got so caught up in multi consoles at the time that I still haven't finished Conker, now that I think about it. I still have to go fight the poo boss. Actually.....I haven't played Banjo Tooie yet, either. Time to hunt for a copy with box and instruction book.

Well, now that the BEST NES games (LoZ and AoL) and the BEST N64 games (OoT and MM) are now on GCN, I believe GCN to be the supreme Nintendo console.

I mean OoT AND Metroid Prime... on the same console= Best. Console. Ever!

GCN to me feels like a catch up console because of the remake of old games, and the N64 games that have been updated for GCN because it never made it out on the 64's lifespan.

But yeah... me and my friends still play the 64 sometimes, reliving the experience of Perfect Dark's multiplayer.

To me, the N64 was a waste of money. A few great games like OOT were its only worth.

i think one of the differences ive noticed between nintendo made 64 games and gamecube sequels are the level design...mariosunshine...yea it was a great platformer..but mario64's level design killed it. no...mario64 took sunshine..dragged it accross the desert 10 times, ripped out it's heart...ate eat...then it proceeded to laugh while chanting...wweee!...the tunel missions in sunshine were ok...but everything else just felt like it was placed there to be explored....NOT played thru...

..another game is mariokart...i dunno about everyone else...but for me...doubledash just doesnt have the same feeling as mariokark64.  the tracks were easy...and awfully bland, the music was boring..and it just felt like the amount of creativity was well...not alot.

..i havent played windwaker yet...so cant say anything there...but to me...it just feels like the developers over at nintendo are kinda holding back in their games...like theyre going for the subtle approach..

..well wake uP!!!...

...anyway, snes rules over all consoles as the machine which had the best games...ever...and thats that...snes > n64/gamecube...
the one and only...
