OK OK dont jump to conclusions guys. just cause one guy says it stinks what about gamepro, they said its really good, i feel that were gonna get a good review from GI,because of there preview.  One fat guy at ign does not determine if a game is good or not, come on dont be so narrowminded, ign is human to they arent gods over there.

The comments IGN made (I ignored the final score because "it's not an average" which basically means "we ignore all reason and give it any rating we feel like") managed to contradict themselves completely. I don't know how they did it, but well done for a pointless read.

I consider comments above numbers, but for those who want an "overall rating" for DD, have a look at www.gamerankings.com, which post reviews from all over the internet.

As for ther reviews, I say "Bring back Peer!"

The Moral is Gamespot is a tad more fair with its reviews, ill wait till  Gamespot does theirs.

My friends were so looking forward to Raw 2 and after reading IGN's score, they got it... and returned it the next day.

It wasn't a fat guy, it was that twig of a "man" Fran, the same grinning idiot who sat during a video interview with a Nintendo head two months ago gushing over Mario Kart. Talk about a 180...

I've stopped taking IGN's scores seriously, since they tend to contradict themselves constantly in their reviews.
I'd go into more detail about how bad IGN is, but we've already been through this so many times before...

A 7.9 is basically an 8/10 which is a really great score and most other sites seem to be rating it higher. It's already gotten a couple of perfect scores and quite a few 9/10's. Sure, a ton of cr*p XBox games have gotten better scores on IGN but the editors at IGN Cube are just A LOT stricter with reviews and obviously sought out any little complaint they could make about the game.

BTW, it was a cheap move giving it a 7.9. Obviously that insignificant fraction of a point was knocked off just to make the score seem a lot lower than it really is. It borders on if not qualifies as irresponsible journalism. It's just misleading and there's no way IGN's review system is anywhere near complex enough to justify that score.

That review made no sense.
a lower score but then they go around and say how damn fun it is.
nothing seemed to be complianed about at all?

everything seemed tobe very well liked and enjoyed so why the low #'s  when it sounds as if the guy loved it?

very strange...

MK sucks because IGN gave DOA Porn Show a better score? I hoep that was sarcasm as I'm sure it probably was.... But just in case it wasn't...don't let the freaking media tell you what is good! =P

Twas sarcasm.

I wonder what IGN would have given Street Fighter II Turbo?  Or let me check that .  What would they have given Super Street Fighter II Turbo?  I can't understand these point scores anyways.  Is there really a difference between a game with a 7.9 rating and a game with an 8.0 rating?  I'm not saying EGM is all that, but I like there review system.  EGM's Mario Kart Double Dash review might also cheer you up a bit.

You know, I wouldn't mind if they decided to change their ranking system and make it a lot harder to get a nine. In fact it would be nice if they did. If games 5 and up were worth playing and then there were actual levels of rankings between really good and really bad. They need to issue some sort of release that they're going to do it if they do though. And they need to do it across the board. Dumb as it is, rankings have an effect on the market, so if XBox games are getting 9's and 10's and GC ones are getting 7 and 8s it affects sales. Anyways, I'm now 1-day of IGN free, and it feels nice. Guess it don't matter to me anymore.

This is redundant.  There's plenty of talk about this already in the Mario Kart thread.
