After angelfire randomly banned me (a total of four times) I have since tried to stop using them. For things like avatars, crappy sites like 250free.com are great. They lure people in by giving them 250 MB of space, and then limit it by saying you can only use about 4 different file extensions.

And I hate geocities.

soo....

If you want to upload many different types of files you really have to go with angelfire. :\ (waste of energy, this post was)

Could this be the problem? No one answered me. I never heard of anyone using Y!B for this but I didn't see anywhere in the instructions/dissclaimer that it said you couldn't and the Email I sent to Y! asking that very Q? never was answered.

If you people who're having avatar troubles want a good host, then I seriously recommend Photobucket. They give a very, very large amount of bandwidth, only compress very large images (Internet-large, anyway), and are incredibly easy to use.

I gotta agree with SearanoX, photobucket is quite good for any image smaller than 250KB, they will resize it if it is bigger than 250KB. They say that you can put up to 100MB of images, considering that if you fill in that 100MB with 250KB images = 409.6 images, but avatars rarely pass the 50KB, so multiply that by 5, therefore you have alot of space and you can't complain about it.

If anyone was actually wondering, it's not. Here's a quote from the answer I got from the 2nd email I sent to them about avatar hosting.
