Well Mario, most of those aren't Nintendo characters. . . but okay But you forgot Meta Knight, from Kirby.  Meta Knight rocks!

Ridley would be awesome.  I thought it'd be cool if they made an evil villains SSB.  People that might be in it?

Ridley
Bowser
Ganondorf
Star Wolf
General Scales (mebbe)
Shadow Mario
Baby Bowser
Wart
King Dedede
Meta Knight
That fat samurai dude from F-zero
Some Fire Emblem baddie (dunno any)
Mewtwo (isn't he evil or something?)

And the fat lizard guy from Donkey Kong.  King K. Rool or something like that.  I get the pun, but I'm not sure how to spell the name.

Umm Build your own charachter mode would be nice, don't you think?.....

Also like I said before, every character should be able to transform into different modes. For example, young link, by pressing the c-stick left/right/down(or on whatever other analog stick they include in the GC2 controller) young link transforms into a goron, deku, or zora ala majora's mask. Each come with there own specific traits and moves, for example deku would be fast but weak but he could float for long distances and shoot stuff, goron slow but powerful, zora average. Another example could be Mario (with all his hats or somthing). Now if you do that with every character, you would have a very nice strategy implemented. Not everyone will transform though, such a Samus. She won't transform but she can change her gun or something.

I think if HAL spent time on this and took a great deal of care, they could make SSM more than a legend in the gaming world. Also, LAN would be great but hard to implement. The levels would have to be aleast 2 times as big as Hyrule Temple and the camera would have to focus on your player alone some how for it to work.

If the area was larger and the camera showed everyone at once, your character would be very small. The get pretty small now if everyone spreads out on the larger levels.

I would like to see:
30 people at the most.....if there are 50 icons, then it wont be balanced....Like marth and roy, they didnt fit in and were too strong
maybe a lan link up, 8 players on screen thu 2 gc's...
stats..Like a FPS, have stats for a name, so if you "buddy" then it will record your k.o, time ect.
more events, they were fun esp. ones like dark link and marathon

Exactly that's why a camera showing everyone wouldn't work well GameFreak. Even on the levels of SSMB, the charachters can get pretty small. Now imagine a 8 player match on a level 2 times as big.....it just wouldn't work. Some how they would have to make it a split screen/ once everyone is close enough 1 camera. To clarify, when people are spread out on the level, the camera would swich into to split screen then when people come closer together, the camera would merger into one. The thing I can't figure out is if there are two tv's for LAN play does the camera correspond with everyone or only the people playing on that particular cube.

Think about it.

An easy solution would be to not include LAN.  And why would the level be twice as large?  And why would it differ from two characters being on either side to there being eight characters spread around.  I think the drawbacks would be minimal, and any problems that exist are just a small price to pay for LAN.

Sorry, but customizable characters is a horrible idea, don'thate.  I like the transformation thing, though.  The only problems are with characters like Fox, Peach, Ice Climbers, Pikachu.  I don't think it'd work, but it's a cool concept.

I dont think it could work with 2 tvs either. Lets say these 4 are on 1 tv and another 4 on the other tv. Well lets say player 1 and 2 (both on tv1) go very far apart. The second tv wouldnt help. Now a LAN play where everyone has there own tv would be nice. The camera stays on you all the time and you can zoom in and out on your own. When you zoom in you will have blind spots, so you would have to be careful.

Actually, I like it when I'm really small.  I'm Marth (no inherent projectiles), and I'm really precise, so it's not a problem.  I just like to know where everybody and everything is.  Only problem with being zoomed out is that motion sensor bombs are hard to notice.

actually, thats a real good idea DRJ. you could see as much or as little as you wanted but it would be a hassle when there are 4 people on each screen.

It would have to be twice as large to compensate for the 4 other players added (8 total). Do I have to explain everything.....

Everyone with there own tv's is a cool idea, but noone will ever do that.  Umm I think after you beat the game (not completely, I still haven't with SSMB) you should unlock create mode or something. I think that would add so much to the game, especailly in the replay value.

The different form thing is an awesome idea.  But on to the reason I'm posting.  I think an awesome idea/name for the next Smash Bros. would be Super Smash Bros: 3rd Party.  This game would include characters from...you guessed it, 3rd party developers.  For the developer to get its character in the game, they'd have to put an exclusive game on the cube (or whatever system this is on) starring this character.  There are probably flaws to this idea of mine, but the way I see it, Nintendo gets more exclusive 3rd party games and 3rd party developers get a free plug for their game.  Everybody's happy.  And maybe, we'd find out if Sonic can hang with Mario
Play or be played.

Unfortunately Nintendo would have to pay for each other license they wanted. If they included Sonic they would have to pay Sega for the rights etc.

"Unfortunately Nintendo would have to pay for each other license they wanted. If they included Sonic they would have to pay Sega for the rights etc."

Not necessarily. Nintendo could get third-parties to agree with it using other tactics.
Nintendo could have made Namco agree to allow Pacman to appear in a Smash Bros title before they allowed it to make Starfox 2. It could have similar deals with Sega for Sonic in exchange for FZero AC/GC and Capcom for Megaman in exchange for Zelda Four Swords.
I doubt third-parties would be that reluctant over the idea. Having them appear in Smash Bros would be a great way to revitalize the popularity of their mascots. It would probably be as good for the third-parties as it would be for Nintendo.

Honestly, I think there's a real chance all this will really happen.
There's been talk of non-Nintendo mascots appearing in a Smash Bros title since before Melee was even released. Nintendo has no doubt heard all of it.
Doesn't anyone else find it strange that Nintendo has yet to announce a game of its own for the Triforce (which was developed by Nintendo along with Sega and Namco). You have to admit a Smash Bros game with Namco and Sega mascots would be PERFECT for it.

BTW, let's not forget that Nintendo has ALREADY made a Pacman game of its own and Miyamoto himself implied it was possible Sonic might be in Mario Kart. So, yeah, if Nintendo wanted a
"Smash Bros Third Party" or whatever it would be called, I definitly think it could happen.

Are you drunk, The moon from Majora's Mask in the next SSB? That's...uh...well...you know. They would never put over 25 characters in that game. It's too many characters to balance and too many to work with. Besides SSBM had a lot of characters and for that exact reason, the balance in the game is screwed despite what people say.

For the next game, the clones should definitely be alternate costumes for their "parents."  Then adding more characters won't fill up so much space on the screen.

The only thing I want in the next Super Smash Bros. Game is for Ganondorf to change into Ganon the way Zelda changes into Sheik- that's ALL I want.

I was always quite fond of the notion that maybe the next SSB could have a "build up special move" meter type thingy.  It could be built up to level 1, 2, and 3 attacks.  The third of which could be a characters, "end all be all move of moves" um, move.  1st and 2nd type attacks could be combo variations or even multipe specials thrown together.  And the only way to build up this so called "Special Meter" would be to inflict damage with regular A button attacks or by taking damage yourself.  I just think that something like this would bring a LOT of variation into the world of SSB.  It's BADLY neeed.  Oh, and more characters would be a plus, too.
