It just seems to be that kind of night. Dan Laser and I were having connection issues also. Right now, you aren't showing up as being online even when I go to the 3DS Friend Screen. Are you still playing? My Friend screen says I am online and I can see other people.

I had issues loading Netflix as well so I may just be having a bad connection. Though the computer connects fine for whatever reason.

For some reason, the first time I tried to visit, there was an error. But when I tried again, I got through and against all odds have been able to make 3 visits so far. Not sure why I had the initial error.

Here's a question for you. Are you using a lot of other Wi-Fi devices at the same time? Are you streaming something from Netflix right now? Would you be using an online app on a tablet? Does anyone else use your Wi-Fi connection? Because maybe part of the problem is that it is being used too heavily by other things. With me, I just have my 3DS only using the Wi-Fi connection. My computer is hooked up to the router so accessing this site while playing isn't using any of the my Wi-Fi connection.

I turned off the TV tonight so that isn't wreaking havoc on my bandwidth. I do live in an apartment complex so there are various other wi-fi signals cluttering the airwaves. Nothing else is on my wi-fi and it is not an open network.

Gate reopening now.

Well, I don't get it. I've been able to host other people over up to 30 visits even without an issue so I have a hard time thinking it is mine. Regardless, want to try opening the gate once more?

I did open it. Though forgot to turn back on the friend communicator (silly that it shuts off like that).

Ah. I should have checked. I thought the Friend Communicator would have to come online again when you connected to the internet to open your gates so I though that you hadn't opened the gates yet. Now stop having a conversation so I can come over. (Close the Friend Communicator as I can't come over until you do that.)

EDIT: Nevermind. I seem to be the problem. I was going to send you a message on the FC since I wasn't sure if you saw this post only to see that my FC was offline. So I turned it back on and then checked if I could go to your town and I could. Now I'm just waiting to see if it will actually connect me as I stand waiting for the train.

Seriously? Leaving the communicator up blocks a connection? Maybe that was part of the issue before. I'll look out for it in the future.

Yes, if you have any of those bottom menus open, it will block people from being able to visit. Your encyclopedias, pockets or ID card also has to be closed.

Gate is reopened. I also shut all of my other browser windows on my PC. Nothing should be on the wi-fi except the 3DS and nothing other than background programs should be using the hardline.

~Ah, calling it? Sorry my connection is so borked. I really suspect it is my neighborhood. I had all sorts of issues with my PC on the wi-fi until I moved everything to make a hardline work. There are just too many signals in my area.

Dang, so it sounds like you guys didn't have much luck after all? My internet connection seemed speedy enough - it was just the DS that was having issues. I had even turned off wifi on all computers, phones, tablets, no netflix or TV, etc.

Just when everyone is around to travel, the internet doesn't work!
