xenosaga really doesn't have that much fmv so there really wouldn't be much to compress with divx...

the scores are real but they are from the gamecube publications of those magazines, not the real famitsu
but that does not mean they are biased by any means- most of the time, the scores are exact matches between the 2 magazines

From IGN:
---------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------
Dengeki scored Tales of Symphonia 9, 10, 9 and 10, just two points show of a perfect rating. The magazine's writers wrote that for fans of the Tales series, Symphonia is so good that it's worth picking up a GameCube just to have it. The reviewers noted that they overall liked the story in the game and were especially fond of the character development. They also stated that the title is highly polished and that it's exactly the way an RPG should be.

HOLY I AM SO HYPED FOR THIS GAME MORE THAN EVER NOW!!!!  As a Tales RPG fanatic, I loved the line, "for fans of the Tales series, Symphonia is so good that it's worth picking up a GameCube just to have it."  I think I'll get the Japanese version when it releases.

I've never played a tales game, so I don't know what to expect. I heard the battle system was the greatest of all RPGS! Wow, I mean, I've played alot of RPGS, and some I can't even read what there saying most of the time. To have the best of all is some honor in my standards, and probably all RPG fanatics (Gup ). Anyways I'm hyped about this game too, when does it come to the states and are there any other RPGS we should know about?

April 1st? Oh, well. At least I'll have time to make up for the money on FF:CC by then. Even thought I want this game like 40 times more than FF. On the scale of Must Havedness, this game is a billion. Plus the price of the game. Multiplied by ten times the tax rate. Then stick a three on the end for good luck. You do the math.

Probably not in Europe. It's still EUR199 (~USD240) here.

Just to let you know Bill, Famitsu Cube gave the game 37/40, but the main Famitsu gave it 38/40.  Just trying to raise your anticipation to even greater heights.  My anticipation is at the point where I'll likely import this baby if it can work properly with that Freeloader thing.

Huh? really? Wow, I thought the main Famitsu always gives lower scores than it's sister mags.

Aw well, this is even better. Can someone say greatest RPG since FFVII?

"Can someone say greatest RPG since FFVII?"

personally i think there were many better rpgs to come after ff7- i could list them but i dont think so- i think tales will out do a lot of great rpgs- the reviews so far are excellent, and the game just seems great- i cant wait for this game to come out in the us- even the dengeki reviewers said that this was how an rpg was supposed to feel like- this game is offering a lot of great things in one package- good story, great anime cut scenes, good looking graphics, and of course a great battle system- i love the tales battle system- it is one of my favorite rpg battle systems

Thanks for the heads-up  The correct scores are now in my sig.

I personally think the story is more important than the gameplay in an RPG, and that's the reason I loved Golden Sun even though the gameplay mechanics weren't the greatest.  My bet is on this game having the best story in an RPG to date.

It takes a long time to translate all the Japanese text.

I hope to God they don't take out "Starry Heavens," the J-pop opening theme for the U.S. version.  The song is really catchy.
