The only time I've found the 3DS uncomfortable is when I was playing Uprising. Which leads me to believe that the controls of the game were at fault rather than the other way around. Using the stylus on a handheld is fine for games like Layton, but for games like Uprising it means that your left hand has to move the Circle pad, press the L trigger and bear the full weight of the system at the same time. It really did cause me some pain.

He is saying that the 3DS did not cause any discomfort, it was the game. With the 3DS XL being even bigger, it would be worse IMO since the 3DS XL is heavier (and the weight of the system is what caused the issue). The stand with the game should take care of it, or playing with the system in your lap (which is something I have seen many with the game do).

Quick question, I see that Next Level Games has a good history with Nintendo but is this secret project a given to be for a Nintendo platform?  What do you think the chances are of this being for one of the competing systems?  I want to get excited as the next guy but it seems like all the big secret games in development (that are openly hinted at) never seem to be for the WiiU or 3ds.  All of Nintendo's secret games stay a secret until they are revealed for the most part.

Why does GoNintendo assume they have been working on something since October? All his LinkedIn profile says is that he started working for Next Level Games in October. That doesn't mean they have been working on a new game, all it says for sure is that he became an employee of the company. At his previous job (with Smoking Gun Interactive from January 2011 to October 2012) he worked on 3 Kinect games.
