It appears that part of the recent firmware update was the ability to actually be notified of a friend request from the home screen and through the 'Friend List' app. I'm glad they did this, but it'd be nice if they'd list these additions on the info about the update.

So uh... I just discovered how awesome Video Chat is when it's actually going. So uh I hope none of you play games naked. Cause I'm a'callin!

Remember your phone is ringing when home constantly flashes none stop. You can't play games and have video chat running.

At least you're able to follow people even if you can't be friends. I'm using this to try to follow all of my favorite gaming personalities who wouldn't normally just friend a random guy from the internet. The comments system and posting on miiverse has made this very worthwhile to me as I don't usually play a lot of online multiplayer.
