Done with your Demo Disc? That's what YOU thought!
« on: May 25, 2003, 10:21:05 AM »
We've found a silly little secret on Nintendo's Preview Disc that adds just a bit more gameplay ...

Just when you think it's safe to put that Preview Disc away, those wacky guys at Sega manage to give you another reason to dust it off.  (That is, if you've bothered putting it away instead of playing Viewtiful Joe!)

There is an extra playable "level" hidden in the Billy Hatcher demo, accessible if you hold down A as the game is loaded.  The "level" is layed out very similar to the normal one, but there are a few new objectives, and new enemies to watch out for.

To make sure you can get into it, launch the Billy Hatcher demo by hitting A at the "PRESS A TO PLAY" screen.  As the game is loading, press and HOLD the A Button again, and keep holding it until you've pressed "Start" to begin the Billy Hatcher Demo.  Don't let go of A until you're able to play.  It won't look much different at first, but once you get down the ramp, you'll see some key differences right away.

Enjoy!

My only question is, what demo disc? I haven't been to the mall in a while, is this something for sale at retail stores? Please don't tell me I managed to over look a Nintendo freebie at E3.

What demo disc?! *faints* Nintendo is giving out a demo disc for free when you buy a new Gamecube, but some stores are selling them for $10 I managed to buy one at my local EB even though they said they didn't have any, heh idiots. So good luck and may the Yoshi be with you.

Target actually has it advertised in their newspaper circular this week as on sale for $9.99.

And actually, you don't have to hold A that long, you only have to be holding A when you hit start on the Billy Hatcher title screen.

Yeah, I stole it.  Sure.  I actually had this posted on SATURDAY, but a database problem broke the link.  There is a post in the PGC Discussion area alluding to it, so I had to copy the data to a new post.

Regardless, if I "stole" it from anyone, it was the COUNTLESS threads on the IGN Boards all talking about it.  It certainly wasn't you.

I don't know what you are trying to accomplish, but if you are trying to tell PGC visitors of your site by slandering the PGC staff than your approach is more than a little flawed. I have never been to your page, and truthfully after seeing your behavior here, I have no desire to either.

I think i can speak for everyone here....we agree
"If a man comes to the door of poetry untouched by the madness of the muses, believing that technique alone will make him a great poet, he and his sane compositions never reach perfection, but are utterly eclipsed by the inspired madman." Socrates
