Ugh, the team Triforce is still trying to figure out when they can play us. If they can't get together by wednesday are they disqualified?

Got some scores or some after action comments from the players. I am sure it's a great competition and all, but there isn't anything for the specators and I am sure the site wants to get more out of this than to get knocked out first round and give prizes.

I really should have worked to get a team.  Makes me wish they put in a tournament mode that could be organized.

KirbyKid tried to get away with cheating. I apologize for risking the jeopardy of my team by making trying to make the team look even worse in the comments. They were already punished for the cheap method for replacing the opponents teammates with real life fit-ins. I should have stayed calm... Next time someone cheats in a tournament such as this, I will let the mods handle it. Let this be a lesson to all whom defy the law of gaming tournaments. We shall continue along the tourney at peace, for this is about fun! Now lets focus back on the tournament, I wonder whom we will be fighting in the semi-finals? I'm with Marcus, TEAM TRIFORCE, we challenge thee!

That is cheating. I'm pretty sure they would disqualify you if you did that. You know, people like you KirbyKid ruin everything when it comes to video game competitions. It takes one cheater to confuse the whole party.

Funny story
You know those team heroes? Well their leader amanzio kept bragging about how his team was gonna win and all. Kept saying things like "this is the end of your journey, prepare to loose you unlucky medusa underling." So I came up with this plan: I got some extra registered friends to join the tourney to replace his teammates lol! Funny he didn't leave the matches, he said he was waiting for his teammates to come. I got my extra pals to make it seem like their trying, and then loose on purpose on his team.

I'm sure this is aloud, the rules say that as long as the team leaders are battling, none of it matters. Well, i'm gonna keep this up throughout the rest of the tourney. If this works throughout the finals, this will be the BEST method to win EVERY tournament!

Don't classify me as cheating, classify me as a GENIUS. (If you want to jump in the tourney with me and help screw the other team up, e-mail me at adarkdreamer@gmail.com). I will be sure to let you get free 2 eshop games also.

Peace.

That is cheating. The reason why I needed all three team members was so I could verify who was playing. You can either rematch with Heroes, or be disqualified.

Let this be a reminder to everyone involved. It might not have been clearly stated in the tournament rules, but this kind of action that involves loading the other person's team with your friends is not welcome.

Additionally, from the rules:

Quote
Since we're playing Light vs. Dark, there will be teams of three players competing. If you can, sign up with two other players.

It states plainly there that are teams of three players competing. I'll tighten up my wording for any future tournaments. Thanks for pointing this out. Would have been better if you did it before the tournament. :)

EDIT: Also, you never submitted a photo, so you'd be disqualified anyway.

I'm giving you a chance to work out another time with the Heroes team. If you don't, then you're out.

Really? You didn't think it was less than ethical to cheat and sabotage other teams by getting your friends on the their team so they can lose on purpose? You were essentially trying to fix the game. I think NWR are being generous letting you even do a re-match rather than just DQ you right away.

It's not often I agree with TJ, but I guess it's a cold day in hell.

NWR had every right to DQ, especially after that confession. I most certainly would not have been as generous after violating the spirit and good will of the tournament. Even then there are plenty of unstated rules of "**** you just don't do because they **** everyone over" you psychopath.

The person who posted as KirbyKid is actually from the team they played against. The IP addresses prove it.

I thought that someone pulling the stunt detailed by "KirbyKid" earlier was the craziest thing that could happen. I was wrong. Impersonating the team that beat you to try to get them eliminated is the craziest thing that could happen.

KirbyKid and his team have been unjustly accused. They won fair and square, and will move on to the semi-finals.

If anyone pulls anything remotely close to this **** again, just...I don't know...don't.

Sharp eye Neal. Glad to see someone is on their toes. It was absurdly odd that someone would post something while not against any of the stated rules, it would be considered cheating anyway.

While I agree with TJ in spirt, I guess this is one of the reasons I don't/shouldn't agree with him. :p

But they didn't cheat, as far as I can tell from both sides. You impersonated him, publicly decrying his name.

This is a tournament that is meant to be for fun among people who aren't trying to be incredibly cruel to other Nintendo-loving folk.

Your team, Heroes, is disqualified. There is no further discussion. I don't even care if KirbyKid indeed did cheat (even though I know he didn't), because your actions following the match would disqualify you anyway.

It's really unfortunate that someone was so desperate to win that they would stoop to cheating. It's a tournament for fun, and not glory.

Yes. I, Kai from team heroes, have only tried to allow KirbyKid to reveal his cheating ways by making him admit it! In no way was there a crime involved! When I was trying to reveal KirbyKid's cheating ways in order for other opponents to watch out, my team Heroes ended up being disqualified for KirbyKid's cheating instead. I am dissapointed in how Neal got the wrong idea out of our KirbyKid "impersonation of admitting to crime". Team Heroes are devestated by this occurence, and probably will never join a tournament again due to this incident. Unless this issue is fixed, placing us back into the semifinals, we shall be motivated once again in the name of Nintendo!

Good days.

To the people who would stoop so low as to impersonate others to win the tournament, FAIL.

As for who will come out on top, who knows. So far each team that the Returners have faced have had some great skill, I look forward to playing them in the future as friends.
