And all I want for the Wii U is the following:

- personalized Mii's (like on the 3DS)
- Friend requests (the only thing keeping the 3DS from being completely amazing)
- game invites
- leaderboards and matchmaking for all online games
- OS-based voice & video chat through the Wii U controller
- Swapnote with color ink


That's it.

Aside from Halo 4, I can't see Microsoft announcing anything really amazing this year. Kinect Kinect Kinect, it's like a drug to them.

Its messaging.   Plain and simple.  They don't have to tote the CoD's and Madden because they have there own fan hype machines.  Kinect though it does.

In that case, Nintendo doesn't need to announce new Mario, Pokemon, Zelda games either because they have their own fan hype machines.

Not really.  They just have to say there coming and leave it at that.  Thething for Nintendo at the moment is they have nothing else to focus on.

I wouldn't put it past Peter Molyneux to make a game called Fable Herpes.

My prediction is that Nintendo will introduce a CCP type controller that connects directly to the Wii U without needing to plug in to a WM+. They kind of have to since it's still possible that only one uPad will work per console, and everyone already has Wii accessories that will carry over. Nintendo has to cash in on selling accessories somehow.

• Virtual Console will be announced for the Wii U eShop. Games bought on the service will be streamable to the uMote, but VC games transfered from the Wii will not be compatible. The consumer must repurchase those games on the Wii U eShop in oreder to stream them to the uMote.
• Resident Evil 6 will be announced for the Wii U with a release date for sometime in 2013.
• All of the delayed games for 2012 going into 2013 will be announced for the Wii U.
• Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be announced for the Wii U.
• Black Ops 2 will be announced for the Wii U as a launch title.

Why would square release a game that completely completes with their other big franchise on wii u. No way Final Fantasy is Bing put on the same system as Dragon Quest X. In ulna may e but not when they are trying to build the franchise in the west and there is high probability that the west will only get the wii u version of dragon quest x.

Fun fact. Westerners don't really care too much for Dragon Quest (though, I really do). There's room for FFXIV and DQX to both appear on the same console. Options, man. Options! Give people the choice.

Dragon Quest is a given and Diablo 3 I double dip for console controls.  SWTOR Might translate ok but not great.

Yeah but they're trying to build the Dragon Quest Franchise in the west. And you don't want to push or launch two big MMOs in the west at the same time. Plus I don't see the Wii U getting it before the PS3 does. I can see FF coming but its going to. E a fairly large gap between that and dragon quest.

Of course the PS3 version is coming first -- it's listed to be released 1st quarter of 2013. But what you're suggesting is the equivalent of saying, "Why would Nintendo want to release a competing platformer like Donkey Kong Country Returns when it already has the established New Super Mario Bros. Wii?"

No. Give people choices. Life is more fun that way.

Wait, are you talking about 32X games or Sega CD games?
