I know I've talked about my gaming deals a bit, but I'd like to pass on some tips relating to today's purchase on how to get the most bang from your buck.
Some time ago, Toys R Us ran a promo where if you bought a Skylanders 3-Pack or an Adventure Pack, you got a $5 gift card. This was when they first released the Dragon's Peak pack (the last adventure pack) and I was in line to get two, one for me and one for a co-worker that let me keep the second gift card for my trouble.
Later, I returned with my $10 in gift cards. They had a deal going where if you bought two select games, you'd get a $10 gift card. I price matched Kid Icarus with Best Buy, getting it for $30 instead of $40 and picked up Mario 3-on-3 which they had on sale for $25, down from $35.
Today, I went and picked up Pikmin 2 and Rayman Origins - they had a sale, 2 $20 games for $30. Used my previous $10 gift card.
So, I got $140 worth of games/Skylanders and was only out $90 (before taxes, of course)... so, like 35% off. And that's getting three of the items on launch week.
Always be on the look out for deals, always look for legitimate ways to stack and come join CAG.
