I'm probably alone but I want KUNG FU for NES game. Yeah it was a stupid simple game, but it was fun. Ghosts and Goblins would be great too, and Gauntlet and Tecmo Bowl and here is an obscure title I grew up on Chubby Cherub.

for GBA

Castlevania Circle of the moon, dk king of swing, Golden Sun, Astro Boy.

I know i'm crazy and none of those games have a chance but one can dream......

I really want Metroid: Zero Mission.  Never got to play it, but it's the definitive way to play the first metroid (which I never beat).  Other than that the only game that I wish would be in the program but I know will not is Tony Hawks Pro Skater 2 for GBA.  That game was amazing!

I hope they choose something a lot more obscure that could do with he exposure like the Fire Emblem games. Offering the Pokemon games would a real waste. Mother 3 would be insane though.

Pretty happy with the second half of the lineup. Not much that I would go out of my way to buy, but all are games that I'll play and enjoy if they are free to download.

The only disappointment is Metroid - not that it's a bad game, but I'm taking this as a sign that we likely won't see the much superior Metroid: Zero Mission among the GBA titles.

Did you read the requirements for being an ambassador?
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/3ds/en_na/3dsambassador.jsp

(Italic font added by me for emphasis.)
"Nintendo 3DS owners who performed the latest system update or who visited the Nintendo eShop using a wireless broadband Internet connection prior to 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Aug. 11, 2011, were automatically registered for the program and will receive 20 free downloadable games before the end of the year."

If you only connected on August 15th, then I'm not sure that you qualify. Did Nintendo change the rules or give other ways to become an ambassador? Maybe customer support can help if you have proof of purchase showing you owned the system before the deadline?

Edit:
Did see this link for Australia and know Europe has something similar, but don't know if North America is offering the same option. Again, best to contact customer support.
http://www.kotaku.com.au/2011/08/didnt-register-for-nintendos-ambassador-program-theres-still-hope/

Final Edit:
Based on this quote that you posted, I'd say you are probably "screwed".

I just got my 3Ds today thanks to the price drop.  To be honest, the 3D doesn't do much for me.  I always think of it a gimmick..although for games it does look cool....

As for viewing it..I'm fine with it in theater...But for the 3DS, it does make my eyes hurt a tad..

The window for being an ambassador was closed at that point. The deal is only for people who bought before the price drop, and it sounds like you missed the cut by a couple of days.

The only extension I've heard about is regarding the registration period being extended into September if you have proof of purchase dated before August 11th (see link I posted above). If you didn't buy your 3DS system in time then you are out of luck; the "extension" is only for people who owned the system but didn't take it online.

Super-psyched to see Zelda II! A bit bummed that Mario 3 isn't included after all, though.

I don't think it was ever rumored for the NES version, it was the SNES enhanced port that was rumored.

It's plausible we could get those same games since all 10 have been released here on the Wii's Virtual Console.

Looks like NZ is going to get their stuff a day "Late" by crossing the date line first. :confused; I will report back in the moment something happens down here.

Games are now available with 5 hours to spare.

I guess you can still pay for 'em in the regular E shop?

I'd love Kung Fu to be released.  Thankfully, my original NES version still works, but I suck at it today....long out of practice.

Heh, Kung Fu was won at a Seaside Heights 'Double Wheel'.  It was all filled with Nintendo Games and the system.  Both wheels had to land on the number you put the quarter on to win.  IT was the only time it ever happened, and for some reason I choose Kung Fu.  Good choice ;o)

To be fair, a lot of the difference there is all of the videos that I decided not to waste my time with.

Free downloads are free downloads. :D

I agree with the complaint on the DSiWare limit.  I'd have more on there if it wasn't for that. :(

All those videos are each one selection on the menu? This system really could use folders, it's just going to get even more cluttered as time goes on.

I'd be surprised if we see downloadable videos like this again - it seems most of these will probably be distributed via the Nintendo Video app at this point.
