New Super Smash Bros. in development!

Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has announced that a new Super Smash Bros. game is in development for both the Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS. Iwata stated that the game will feature connectivity of some sort between the two systems. However, no further details were shown or discussed.

It makes me wonder how far into development the games are. Since nothing was shown, I highly doubt that the game will be ready for the new system's launch.

Adrock, I disagree. Not only is this announcing the fist portable Smash game, but it also says that it will connect with the Wii U version. Pretty exciting.

That says almost nothing though. How does it connect? Metroid Prime and Metroid Fusion connected and unlocked the Fusion suit and the original Metroid. Neat, but unspectacular. Nintendo had nothing to show and until they do, it's pointless to bring up.
