Ace Attorney Investigations Sequel Announced
« on: September 08, 2010, 11:15:34 AM »

Famitsu reveals details on the sequel to the Ace Attorney spin-off.

This week's Famitsu reveals that a sequel to Ace Attorney Investigations is in the works. Scans have surfaced in advance of the magazine's publication date showing the title "Gyakuten Kenji 2" for DS on the contents page. The feature pages from the issue have also found their way online, but currently the only source is a blurred scan from which it is difficult to extract any information.

It is expected that Gyakuten Kenji 2, Turnabout Prosecutor, as the Ace Attorney Investigations series is known in Japan, will be playable at Tokyo Game Show next week.

Looks like the game could be coming out this year, if that 2010 in the corner of that page means anything.

Actually, I can read that part.  It just says that it will be at Tokyo Game Show 2010.

I love these games as much as anyone, but I wasn't too excited for this announcement. It seems like the easiest way to produce a sequel without further developing the PW story. And the only reason they're making another Attorney game is because of Capcom's dependence on sequels after Ghost Trick didn't sell very well, and they know there's a fanbase that will buy this game no matter what.

That and, I want a new Klavier game.
